Yay pergola! Tall and spindly.

Amaranth

Behold the most prolific weed herb we have: Amaranth! It was already growing in the backyard, and through selective weeding of the competitor grasses this little herb has overrun the yard.

Even with all the culling we do.

Usually it's eaten boiled, steamed or souped up.
